EXT. THE PLANETOID JARKHOOM

A bustling planetoid with spaceports and stations orbiting all around it and ships coming and going.

A serious-looking ship--think a pirate boat retrofitted for space--blasts into view, maybe even forcing a merchant ship out of the way...

EXT. SOME SORT OF RELIGIOUS TEMPLE

The religion is called Po-Ja it is a Catholic and Aztec overtones in nature? It’s a cool big building like a church. At the top of the building is a triangle and a hexagon interlocking this is the “Cross” for the Po-Ja. The building is special even for the Po-Ja community, this is shown through the design of the building rather than any signs.

People--normal-looking people and aliens (think MOs Easley)-- are going into the church, carrying what looks like pots for plants. There are various ships around--mostly small drop ships or local transports--parked around the building.

A slight-looking man in googles with a tidy haircut and trim space-armor, SEZ ARTEZ (he’ll rob a museum in the dead of night and do your taxes in the morning), is using space binoculars to look into the sky. A rough-looking woman (a space pirate if you’ve ever seen one, for sure), stands next to him. This is KEERIAN CALTEN; ‘KAY’ for short. She has seen some shit, and has no time for yours. She is holding one of those curious pots.

Through SEZ’s binoculars we see: the badass ship from before coming right for them.

He puts the binoculars down.
